Combining the energy of movement and the vibrance of colors, Akiko Nakayama brings pictures to life. Called "Alive Painting" Akiko depicts the resonance between shapes and textures by using different types of liquids, each with a unique characteristic. Her explorers three themes in her work.Firstly, the parallels of extremes.Secondly, the resonance between these extremes when they meet. Lastly, the importance of water in bridging these extremes.
Kou Katsuyoshi is a Korean, who was born in Tokyo, 1983. By having power equipment connected the analog mixer, can control the power supply. When starting the analog mixer with this equipment, and by extending the noise sound at the stop (on/off), one can make varies noise while playing.(Equipment manufacturer: Manabu Suzuki) Mainly use guitar as a sound source. Born 1978 in Okinawa, Japan, Makoto Oshiro is a performer and artist currently residing in Tokyo. His main medium is sound, but he also combines other elements such as light, electricity and movement of objects. In live performances, he uses self-made tools and instruments that are based on electronic devices, every day materials and junk. His installation work mainly handles sound as a physical and auditory phenomena, and focuses on characteristics such as vibration and interference. He has recently released his first solo CD Phenomenal World from the Japanese label hitorri. He also has formed and belongs to the live installation / performance group The Great ∆ with Takahiro Kawaguchi and Satashi Yashiro.
Seiji Morimoto: born in Tokyo 1971, studied musicology at the Kunitachi College of Music, graduating in 1996. During this period he began to play the electronic pieces by John Cage and his own sound performances. Since then he has been creating sound performances, installations and videos. In 2003 Morimoto moved to Berlin, has performed and exhibited in many international festivals including transmediale in Berlin, Experimental Music Festival in Munich. He is interested in the uncertain acoustic appearances between usual objects, for example water and stones, and the technical medium.
