- AudeRrose - rouge sang
"Rouge sang" is a metaphoric tale immersing the viewer in a dreamy shadow performance, combining analogue projection and sounds. The visual landscape is exploring a series of red objects projected into light with overhead and slide projectors. The space is filled with red moving shadow diffracting a collection of light objects, paper cuts, organic slides, composed as a visual collage evolving inside a space bubble. The soundscape is produced with handmade pickup microphones amplifying cords, metallic objects, metronome, clocks … The ticking pattern of the sound is slowly modified with digital effects turning the experience in electro acoustic drift, where the action of the performers produce a sonic improvisation. The experience of reality slowly drifts into a ritual mythologic narrative, immersing the spectator in surrealist audio-visual shadow play. The performance is a sort of shamanic experience on how to transform reality into fiction exploring the idea of catharsis as an essential mode of survival. How can reality be transferred into an immersive fiction. The image becomes another reality that can be release from the memory and generate the necessary oblivion of the unbearable lightness of the being. - Kasia Justka - der Zug
der Zug is an audiovisual cinematic journey through tracks - Mariusz Knysak, Maciej Ożóg – Ephemeral Interferences
“Ephemeral Interferences” is the audiovisual performance wherein close interactions between improvised sounds and moving images trigger deep immersive experience of optical sound and sonified vision. Sounds and images interrelations develop in a never-ending, dynamic feedback loop in which intentional human manipulation of audio and visual components is being clashed with indetermined impulses generated by the audio-visual analogue-digital machinery itself. This machinery consists of two parts that are closely connected, interact and influence each other. The first one is the sound generator operated by Maciej Ożóg. He uses electromagnetic filed sensors, custom-build Analog RF Power Detector for Sonification of Wireless Network Traffic as well as software to create dense soundscapes that are a form of sonification of invisible architecture of electromagnetic flows specific for the performance venue. The other part of the machinery is the self-made analogue vision generator operated by Mariusz Knysak. Images are created in real time with the help of the system of mirrors, polished metal sheet and other reflexive materials set in motion by the performer. They reflect light from the video projector creating ephemeral, hologram-like, ghost-like images that flow in space engulfing the audience. Selected parameters of sound (volume, pitch, frequency, dynamic) control the intensity and form of images emitted by the projector. In reverse, some parameters of projected images (intensity, movement, colour, dynamic, position in space) are monitored by the set of light sensors that trigger and influence selected parameters of sound effects. In this way human factor is in constant dialog and symbiosis with the autonomous activity of generative techno-system. A dynamic, fluid, constantly in-becoming audiovisual spectacle emerges out of this tension and cooperation between human and technology.

AudeRrose is multi-disciplinary artist working with performance, photography, sound and projection. She regularly presents her performances in international festivals. Her imagery plays with narrative structures, developing dreamy and intimate universes, exploring various forms of interplay between body, images in motion, deconstructive narrations and self-mythology. Her performances articulate live scenography protocols integrating video as an environment medium, often using real-time camera feedback, considering the black box as a possible oneiric space, where sounds and images communicate in a poetic and narrative journey. http://aude-f.com/performance/
Kasia Justka is a Polish multimedia artist based in Berlin. Her work capitalizes on her obsessions with the medium of electricity and weird organic sounds. Her art can be seen as invocations to the vast power inherent within electronic systems and networks. With this conceptual frame in mind Kasia fashions a dynamic order and form from primitive entropy. Using light, sound images and objects as her tools, her intuitive and analogue based performances have led to collaborations with theaters, galleries, fashion designers, artists and festivals, including Electrovision London, Transvisualia, Free Form Festival, CynetArt_08, Unsound Festival, Piksel in Norway, Warsaw Electronic Festival, gallery Zacheta, WRO Bienale, TR Warszawa, Volksbuhne and others.
Ozog / Knysak Maciej Ożóg and Mariusz Knysak started working together at the end of 2014. The first result of their collaboration was a series of video recordings and photographs by Knysak, which were inspired by sound compositions prepared for Ożóg's CD "Electric Disobedience of Flesh" (Requiem Records 2015). Some of the pictures were the basis of the cover design of this release. The realization of the video "Access 3", which is the visualization of one of the tracks from the Ożóg's album, was the turning point in Ozog-Knysak cooperation. It was the impulse to start conceptual working on the audiovisual performance based on a deep integration and interaction of vision and sound. The mechanical analog / digital audiovisual system, which works using the feedback loop between live projections and improvised sounds, has been built as a result of many experimentations that lasted more than a year. This system is the basis of the interactive audiovisual performance "Ephemeral Interferences" premiered in May 2016.
Maciej Ożóg CV
Theorist of culture and sound artist. Since the early nineties he’s been involved in experimental music scene of Poland. The founder of many bands (Spear, Ben Zen, Aural Treat, Sub Spa, Quantum Vacuum Oscillator, Nonstate i.a.). He works in the field of live multimedia performance, interactive installations and video art. In his solo performances he critically explores the limial territory between physical activity of the body and invisible electromagnetic infrastructure of the hybrid space. He uses custom designed sound devices as well as digital and analogue electronics. Between 1998-2002 he ran a record label Ignis Project dedicated to electronic and electroacoustic music. Ignis released records by: Francisco Lopez, Ultra Milkmaids, Vance Orchestra, Indra Karmuka, Crawl Unit, Origami Arktika, Chaos As Shelter, EA and Spear. Mariusz Knysak CV
Mariusz Knysak was involved with various mass media (the radio, press and the Internet) for many years, mainly as the founder and the manager. He has been also active in organizing numerous artistic and social oriented projects. Today, he initiates and develops projects operating at the interface of science, technology and business. Simultaneously he is an active visual artist. Both in his performances and studio works he connects simple, analog tools and methods of image creation with digital technology.
