Solo performance by Boris Hauf
In this solo act Boris Hauf investigates how concepts of processual repetition, patterns and loops can engage the imaginary and calculated potential of iteration and disintegration, delay and modulation. Observing the deformation of repetitions after they have been established, microscopic loops interact with elongated nested phrases and expose the gradual decay of the logic of sound.
pulsar by Soundronic
Soundronic's new audiovisual presentation, pulsar, combines and explores two of his greatest passions: astrophysics and psychedelia. The audio component is divided into two sections which correspond to two revised and extended versions of the tracks "hori" and "kono", from the album "forma”. The driving force behind these two is basic composition: a short loop of noise is modulated by a few parameters on a few effects (such as delays or echo senders). The result is a subtle but immersive feedback. Terms like "radiation", "rotation", "dense", and "periodic" used to define a pulsar (pulsating radio star) also lend themselves to this lysergic sound. In addition, the audio-reactive visuals evoke a self-conceived cosmos, a universe illuminated by a precise, pulsating light.
Boris Hauf is a composer, producer and performer who composes for large and small ensembles, performance artists, film, radio, soloists, video and installation art. He initiated and curated the annual composition festival Chicago Sound Map in Chicago, the Playdate series in Berlin and lectures at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Hauf tours worldwide in a variety of ensembles as well as in various performative contexts and as a solo artist. As performer and composer he collaborates closely with Choreographers Christina Ciupke, Martin Nachbar, Karen Christopher and many others with in the performance context.
Soundronic is the moniker of Berlin-based artist Alberto Moreno. Coming from a background in theoretical physics and now an audiovisual artist, his work spans several fields (perception, philosophy, mathematics,...), in constant search of new ways to connect art, science and leisure, technology and humanities, both in the outcome and in the creation process.
