GOTH BEEKEEPING with Marius Presterud

Oslo Apiary & Aviary is a dark-ecological service provider, working in the overlap between art and urban husbandry. Through this embedded practice, Presterud tries to get a sense of a city’s ontology, how the post-sustainable city is constituted and can or can’t be reconstituted. The current landscape tends towards can't, thus 'gothifying' the practice.

For our next Scent Club meetup, Marius Presterud will present his practice and share a preview of his latest work still in progress: Last Oil - A last rite oil made from local plant ingredients.

Last Oil (2018) is part of Grave Talk (2018-ongoing), financed with the support of The Office of Contemporary Art Norway.

Scent Club Berlin is a community of smell enthusiasts, meeting up monthly at Spektrum in Berlin. Everybody who is interested in experimenting with the sense of smell is invited to join.
