Zeno van de Broek [NL] - “Divergence” - audiovisual live performance
“Divergence” explores the tension between space and sound induced by their manipulated representation: sounds alter, calibrate and form space while simultaneously the sound is formed and manipulated by the space it is placed in. The album is based on pure sound sources such as sine waves and white noise. These sounds are physically manipulated and destroyed by the use of tape in order to form pulses, interferences and new wave forms. These manipulations create a divergence between the perception of sound and space: real and digital space interacting with pure and altered sound sources. The result is an intense sensory reaction and heightened spatial awareness through four movements.  

Mark IJzerman [NL] - Tape loop performance
Mark IJzerman is a sound artist, composer & performer working with interactive and procedural sound. In his performances he works a lot with tape-recorders and self-built instruments, both analog and digital. His works carry a strong organic quality.

As part of transmediale/CTM Vorspiel 2016 festival, Amsterdam-based FIBER presents a collaborative two day programme at SPEKTRUM with audiovisual performances, an artistic meetup and a screening programme. The event is co-created with LIMA, Berlin based Retune and SPEKTRUM’s local communities. This cultural exchange is part of an ongoing research trajectory to setup an artistic production network for emerging artists between European festivals.
