Fuego - live electronic ambient and light arts

Robin Burke, aDaM_bUrKe & Greta Macri - An Audio & Visual Portrayal of the Anthropocene

Fuego is the solo orchestral project of spanish artist Nacho Córdoba, offspring of the first electronic traditions ala BBC Radiophonic Workshop or Elianne Radigue. Nacho (head of the spanish label MAGIA) devotes himself to "La Caja", an old machine for calibrating televisions he uses to get us to underwater sounds, bubbly atmospheres and melancholic mermaid calls through highly emotional and trance-inducing tunes. The project has been active in different line-ups (from solo or duo up to quintet) since 2011, with two self-released records, a cassette tape through MAGIA recs. and shows all over Spain and 5 european tours through 16 countries. The show consists of live electronic ambient and light arts. In his performance Fuego sets all the lights outs, only remaining smalls lights situated in his rig allowing only to see a bit much him and a collection shadows behind him and thus turning any performance space into a dreamy twilight. All this preceded by a short storytelling.

Robin Burke, aDaM_bUrKe & Greta Macri - An Audio & Visual Portrayal of the Anthropocene
With the ending of the ice age 12,000 years ago, humankind began it's slow but dramatic reordering of the natural world for it's own benefit. From the hunting to extinction of various large mammals to the use of fire to slash and burn forests for farm land, humans have leveled mountains & forests for ore & wood to smelt various metals. To the forced movements of people via international slavery & the colonization of the New World, humans have industrialised nearly everything from war to the production of food and the very environments we live in. Through sound & imagery, we will depict the above over the course of 40mins with the intention of illuminating our place in time now and questioning what is too come.

Robin Burke (aka Robbertunist) plays analog synthesizers & performs live improvised pieces ranging from Drone to Rhythmic Noise with either modular or DIY models. https://soundcloud.com/robin-burke

[aDaM_bUrKe~] is a Leeds based composer who creates idiosyncratic sounds and complex rhythmic patterns by way of live DSP signal processing and free-improvisation that cloud the boundaries between genre, sound-design and real-time composition https://deafethos.bandcamp.com

Greta Macri is a well known video artist based in Berlin who's live work is often seen in various venues of the city. Her preproductions form the base of material that is then mixed, processed and spliced during her live performances. https://vimeo.com/videosynchrony
