GEEK WORKSHOPS

workshops

17 Dec, 14:00 – 19:00: Sound Machine Workshop - Polyphony Square Wave Oscillator by AA..LL
This workshop is for beginners! On the basis of a digital logic chip (40106) we create a beautiful noisy sound machine. In that chip we have 6 integrated circuits with always one input and one output, so with a few capacitors, resistors and potentiometers you can get up to 6 separate voices out of it. In this workshop we create 3 for polyphony! This chip produces square waves, in a second output we can have triangle waves as well. We can add a simple low pass filter and volume control.

19 Dec, 17:00 – 22:00: Berlin Modular Session #4 The Random*Source Warmup

We will build Serge Modular for Eurorack from Random*Source. As usual we will provide the tools and the guidance. If you are a beginner, you will only want to build a DSG, or an SSG. If you have some experience you can build the other ones, but you will want to get there right at 5pm so we can finish up. If are confident in your soldering skills, then you can build the ResEQ. We look forward to solder with you!! All the components are hand sourced, and better parts are used than in the thonk kits.
