Henrik von Coler - The "Threshold Suite"
"The "Threshold Suite" is a series of acousmatic works which use dynamic audio processors as central means for sound alterations and sound generation. The pieces are presented with additional live electronics and live spatialisation.
Doron Sadja - Never Endings
Doron Sadja presents “Never Endings”, a new work for electronics, single channel video projection, and smoke machine. Immersed in a dense fog eliminating the physical boundaries of the room, sound and light structures pan, bend, twist, and materialize throughout the space. Existing in a volatile state between nothingness and overwhelming physical power, “Never Endings” attempts to create an environment where sound, light, and smoke can manifest into seemingly tangible forms.
Henrik von Coler is a composer of electroacoustic music, audio engineer and researcher in the field of audio technology. His compositions are based on prerecorded and arranged studio-improvisations, using analog and digital synthesizers, various sound processors and concrète elements. In performances he focuses on the acousmatic experience alone, fitting the music into the space by means of live spatialization and processing.
Doron Sadja is an American artist, composer, and curator whose work explores modes of perception and the experience of sound, light, and space. Working primarily with multichannel spatialized sound – combining pristine electronics with lush romantic synthesizers, extreme frequencies, dense noise, and computer-enhanced acoustic instruments, Sadja creates post-human, hyper-emotive sonic architecture. Although each of Sadja’s works are striking in their singular and focused approach, his output is diverse: spanning everything from immersive multichannel sound pieces to sexually provocative performance / installation works, and stroboscopic smoke, mirror, laser, and projection shows.
