Utter-st - electroacoustics duo (Martin Lau & Marcello Lussana), voice and electronics
Utter-st is a duo project by Martin Lau (voice and effect processing) and Marcello Lussana (live electronics) that researches how the sounds of human voice are generated and composed. Martin Lau explores the possibilities of his own voice together with effect processing while Marcello Lussana recreates and mirrors this world with live electronics and self made software.
Maja Jantar is a performer, visual artist, multilingual and polysonic voice artist and opera director living in Ghent, Belgium. A co-founder of the poetic group Krikri (www.krikri.be), she has been giving individual and collaborative performances throughout Europe and experimenting with poetic sound works since 1995. Collaborating with artists from various disciplines, multimedia (theatre group Crew), poetry (Vincent tholomé, Angela Rawlings a.o.) and more. Some of her visual poetry has appeared in various publications, amongst others Zieteratuur (The Netherlands), and her visual work has been shown in several exhibits, recently at the Art Book Fair, at arts centre Wiels in Brussels.
Tomomi Adachi is a performer / composer, sound poet, installation artist and occasional theater director. Performing with voice, live electronics, he has performed works by Cage, Cardew, Wolff, Yuji Takahashi, with Nicolas Collins, Jerome Noetinger, Annette Krebs, Jennifer Walshe, Jon Rose, Butch Morris, Otomo Yoshihide, and at the Tate Modern, IRCAM/Centre Pompidou, Haus der Berliner Festspiele, Roulette, Tonic, ZKM, STEIM, Experimental Intermedia and Merkin Hall. In 2009-10, he was a fellow of the Asian Cultural Council in New York, and most recently, in 2012 was a guest of the DAAD Berliner Künstler program.
Marcello Lussana is a composer, a software engineer and free thinker specialized in interactive systems. Focal point of his work is the interaction between music and human movement. He produces for audio-visual Performances, Dance, Theater and Live Electronics and is based in Berlin.
Martin Lau is a berlin-based vocalist, soundpoet & improviser who digs deep in the acoustics of the mouth. After having studied literature & performance studies he published a volume of poetry in 2010, soon to focus on the performative & sonic side of poetry. In his energetic and uncompromising live-performances he explores the variety and boundaries of human articulation and its conditions. His activities include solo and collaborative performances and recordings in the fields of soundpoetry, noise, free improv & dance.
