Mia Zabelka - “My solo work is an ongoing process of de- and reconstruction of sonic possibilities, expanding the range of my instrument using live electronic devices and preparing it through the insertion of alien objects between or on the strings. I am continuously exploring sound as a physical phenomenon, always pushing back the boundaries in experimental performances and compositions that question established notions, improving the available techniques and given structures. The violin, my voice and body are transformed in the process into sound bodies which have been described as organic and primal, screaming, lyrical, composed and explosive.”

Gavino Canu - “My research aims to show the discrepancy between the industrialized and human world through the complex tangle between photography, music and motion picture, giving a third point of view on the topic. My video presents those environments that more than others, have been drastically changed by unexpected natural disasters or by us careless people on Earth. It is the story of human beings, who turned from country life to industrialization and then on to our modern globalized, cybernetic world. It is the path through human life, from birth, through living, till death. It’s what it was, what it is and what will be.”

For her Solo for Voice and Electronics, Alessandra Eramo creates a collage of extended vocal techniques, urban and industrial soundscapes to move beyond the sound into more visceral layers of poetic expression. Beat-boxing, tongue-clicking, screetching, screaming, hissing: In an immersive performance she transforms her whole body into a means of expressions. She interweaves her voice with sound poetry eruptions fusing them together with a dynamic manipulation of pre-recorded sonic material, tapes, and field recordings.

Alessandra Eramo (*1982 Taranto, Italy) is an artist and composer who works primarily with voice and noise. She creates performance pieces and text-sound compositions, but also videos, drawings and site-specific installations, exploring latent acoustic territories of the human voice. She has performed and exhibited at many festivals, museums, galleries, theatres and independent art spaces in Europe, Canada, USA, Turkey and Chile. Co-founder of "Corvo Records - vinyl & sound art production" where she released her solo LP Come ho imparato a volare, and the 7'' Roars Bangs Booms in 2014, based on the onomatopoeic words from the Futurist Manifesto "The Art of Noises" by Luigi Russolo. Currently she’s working on the new solo-release of recordings made during her residency at EMS Stockholm. In 2017 she’s invited artist at the Biennale Thessaloniki to show Migratory Echoes, a work based on interviews to emigrants about the concept of "Home“. She’s member of the group, "Errant Sound Art Space" in Berlin, where she lives and works.
