Mirella Brandi X Muep Etmo - Vampyroteuthis Infernalis

Immersive live performance inspired in Vampyrouteuthis Infernalis by Villem Flusser. A free interpretation of Flusser's work that’s transformed by the artists in an amplified reality. The immersive environment have its draw and narrative conduction developed by the duo Mirella Brandi x Muep Etmo. They research and develop for over 11 years projects of expanded cinema created by light and sound. For this performance the duo invite the artist Simon Fernandes to integrate the team developing data calculations that alter the relationship with light in the confront with the space and the audience. The perfomance is an unfolding created specifically for Spektrum Berlin.

Mirella Brandi X Muep Etmo explore since 2006 the narrative capacity as well as the perceptual transformation of light and sound in installations and immersive performances. Based in São Paulo the duo makes use of the principles of performative art, expanded cinema and immersive installations, and transforms them in an immersive narrative.
