AV performance night with:

    DATASTRUCTURE is an installation audio/video reactive/generative. The images, composed of lines and geometric shapes are generated from the audio frequencies. Image manipulation via quartz composer occurs in the abstract, linear, creating a common thread between sound and video. DATASTRUCTURE plays right on the possibility of interaction between visual forms and sound frequencies, placed in a box in the continuity of flow generative. A mutual answered in the light of geometries and sampling that is configured as an open process, continuous… Each performance is characterized by constant changes and improvisations of the live sets.

    Audiovisual performance
    Technique: self-made visual machine, various liquids, light transmitting materials, ink, brushes / dimensions variable. 

Simultaneous perception of both cause and effect, ink strokes echoing calligraphy. 
The visuals are result of continuous investigation of pure materiality, and what does observation of macro and microscopic structures could possibly tell us about how this universe was made. With the use of various common materials, abstract organic collages emerge, each time unique, liquid mandala-like objects are created, just to naturally vanish again.

In daily life, one tends to disregard seemingly ordinary moments of passing natural elements, but when sculpted and captured in time, observation of these structures, might lead us into philosophies such as wabi-sabi which represents Japanese aesthetics and and world view. Sometimes described as one of beauty that is 'imperfect, impermanent and incomplete'. Understanding emptiness and imperfection was honoured as tantamount to the first step to satori, enlightenment. The idea is, that being surrounded by natural, changing, unique objects helps us connect to our real world. In one sense wabi-sabi is a training whereby one might find basic, natural objects interesting, fascinating and beautiful. Fading autumn leaves would be an example. Wabi-sabi can change our perception of the world to the extent that a chip or crack in a vase makes it more interesting and gives the object greater meditative value.

The listener is invited to enter a synergy of microscopic shapes amongst an ever shifting present. Sound can be transformed, manipulated and reborn out of the source of a fragmentation in time. What is there, more than physics and perception? What is for example reality, if this is only one’s perception through physical senses?

Monoiz is the solo project of Italian Luca Moni. The continuous search for new sounds and experimentation, samples of sounds and noise made by the reality that surrounds us are the elements that keep Monoiz constantly changing. For this performance he collaborates with Escrauva, who was born in Chieti and moved to Florence when she was very young and began studying art. She has been always fascinated by painting and photography, and here started the experiment to try to make sound visible. 

Gabriela Prochazka (CZ) is a visual artist & light designer interested in finding new ways of narration through various types of light sources. Fascinated by light poetic and emotional impact and the way it can reveal new perspectives on objects and their light permitting abilities. It’s immateriality, yet powerful storytelling. Recently, she started to enjoy collaborations with sound designers to translate their sound-scapes into site-specific art forms. She is curious in creating new types of experiences and realities that might come up during live audiovisual performances as she dreams about exploring the boundaries and intersections of stage design, light design, installation art, audiovisual & theatre performances and the art world. 

Vida Vojic (SWE) is a Berlin-based sound artist. She aspires to tap into the transportational capabilities of sound, through endeavours such as installations, performance and production.
