RVNES by Malte Cornelius Jantzen
Audiovisual improvisation by Nenad Popov and Doron Sadja
Rvnes is the experimental project by Berlin-based artist Malte Cornelius Jantzen that blends drone ambience with noise soundscapes. Mixing field recordings, organic sounds and tape loops – all processed to the point of abstraction – into lengthy tape collage performances that drift and push and hover.
Nenad Popov is a media anarchist with a focus on live cinema pieces, sound installations, film installations, weird sound making contraptions and occasional parasitism on public cultural funds. He has collaborated with artists such as Daan Brinkmann, Electronic Opera, Erfan Abdi, Klara Ravat, Lillevan and his works have been exhibited at Sonic Acts, Dis-Patch, TodaysArt, E-Pulse, Share and Ars Electronica.
Doron Sadja is an American artist, composer, and curator whose work explores modes of perception and the experience of sound, light, and space. Working primarily with multichannel spatialized sound – combining pristine electronics with lush romantic synthesizers, extreme frequencies and dense noise, Sadja creates post-human, hyper-emotive sonic architecture. Although each of Sadja’s works are striking in their singular and focused approach, his output is diverse: spanning everything from immersive multichannel sound pieces to sexually provocative performance / installation works, and stroboscopic smoke, mirror, laser, and projection shows.
