2017 work with first appearence at Orangerie du Parc de la Tête d'Or, Lyon and Festival Forte in Portugal.

“Harbinger” is a project of installation and audiovisual performance. Through pictures and rotating branchs the viewer discover a futuristic vision where rare life forms are movement related to light, sound breath and death. The result is a tragic composition in the space of an awareness to the ecological risks to come.

In its form, the main idea is to establish a space representative of what could happen from our ecological environment in a dramatic style, even lyric. Its composition will present dead but moving plant forms where light work and soundtrack create a sinister atmosphere of warning. The artist presence within the installation will allow to control in a more precise and unique way the installation and establish with the idea that the presence of the man is vector of this vision. In addition to this vision, the artist gives a second life to the dead wood, thus making this sign before ecological rider. The object of this exhibition will therefore be between the installation and the audiovisual performance. The origin of this project comes from a vision of the forests exploited by man, calcined where there are only a few branches and strains.

The original soundtrack of this creation is composed by In Aeternam Vale.

Andrea Familari /// FAX w. Giovanni Di Giandomenico - A/V Impro

Giovanni Di Giandomenico born in Palermo (1993), Berlin based, is composer, sound engineer, record producer, pianist and conductor. Master in Composition he graduated from the Conservatory “Vincenzo Bellini” (Pa) studying with Marco Betta (composition) and Carmelo Caruso (conducting); moved to Rome he earned the Diploma of High Perfection in Composition at the Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia (Rm) studying with Ivan Fedele. His compositions have been played at NAMM Musikmesse (Moscow), Teatro comunale di Bologna, Teatro Massimo (Pa), Auditorium Parco della Musica (Rm) etc. His music is characterized by a large use of acoustic instruments and field recordings, electronically processed in order to create the feeling of an imaginary landscape, a dystopian space of the memory where the perception of time is completely altered. He released five albums in Italy as composer and pianist for the label Almendra Music and two albums in Berlin as record producer with the label Humans Collecting Memories of which he is the co-founder.
