Join us for an evening where we will prick the subconscious with millions of tiny, metaphorical and artful pins. An attempt at initiating some introspection of the conditioned beasts expressing conformity inside us. These works explore this state of functioning as bi-product to affect some shift, chain reaction, reaching a collective universal, seizing control over the self back.
This evening is the second installment in a series following an exhibition evening last year: Staring Back: Observances of the Surveyed.
Elsewhere - Film Premiere (Berglind Thrastardottir and Eduard Antonov)
A film essay about a universal existential struggle with a spoon-fed, linear, capitalistic trajectory, pressure of conformity and searching for some kind of alternative, perhaps a metaphysical one. Elsewhere represents the disorientation of an existential crisis in an era when life goals are implicitly attached to capital gain.

Euphoria - Performance (Olympia Bukkakis)
The recent emergence of transfeminine voices in the media and society at large has been a catalyst for a public discussion around the limits and boundaries of trans and queer identities. At the same time the meteoric rise of drag culture to the mainstream has led to a greater understanding of the existence of drag but also a calcifying of what drag spaces and practices are and what they mean. This in turn has fostered a common assumption that there is a solid and stable boundary between drag and trans identities. But identity is nowhere near as stable as all that.
Stepwise - Performance (Martyna Miller)
The feeling of not knowing what to say when addressed. Promising yourself the next time you will not allow it to happen. Prepare ready-mades in your brain. But these moments never come, once not expressed dissapear from consideration, dissapear from the language. Yet they are part of our capital and our identities. They create reality in itself. Contain agency and grow in power. Is the big comeback possible?

Edward Antonov is a Russian sound artist who lives and works in Beijing. His music is concerned with slowly evolving soundscapes, real - time music visualization and sound in a variety of raw states. He works on projects at the intersection of art and technology
Berglind Thrastardottir: Trained as a Psychologist, Berglind abruptly left her studies and decided to apply her knowledge in creative pursuits. Her work provides a space to promote introspective examination of how deep cultural influences plant themselves in us, to reside, co-exist harmoniously, or dissonantly in our personalities until we die. Caspar Heinemann is an artist, poet and twinky butch anarcho-communist mystic based in Berlin. Their interests include critical occultism, gay biosemiotics, and countercultural mythology. Recent events include readings at the Baltic Triennial, Serpentine Miracle Marathon, Basis voor Actuele Kunst, Utrecht, and the ICA, London . They have recently exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, David Roberts Art Foundation, London, and Outpost Gallery, Norwich.
Olympia Bukkakis: Queen of the Heavens and of the Earth, Empress of Despair and Architect of Your Eternal Suffering, Olympia Bukkakis is a performer living in Berlin since 2012. She hosts queer performance events Get Fucked, Fancy, and Queens Against Borders and is currently studying a Masters in Solo Dance Authorship at the HZT.
Martyna Miller’s artistic inquiries are set between theatre and visual art. Graduate in cultural anthropology and directing at Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo, currently PhD candidate at intermedia faculty, University of Arts in Poznań, Poland. She is part of performance duo Polanki and founder of TYNA collective.
