Improvised rhythmic live-coding performance, using his own software library called Conductive.

Meidell & Blank Blank - TRIOER
'Trioer' is a machinery. It is an audiovisual installation and a live performance where electroacoustic sound triggers custom-built machines painting on transparent 16 mm film loops creating animated patterns and illusions.

 

 

Renick Bell is a composer, programmer and teacher, living in Tokyo, Japan. He is a graduate of the doctoral program at Tama Art University in Tokyo, Japan. His current research interests are live coding, improvisation and algorithmic composition, using open source software. He is the author of Conductive, a library for live coding in the Haskell programming language. Previously, he was a doctoral student at Tokyo Denki University. He has performed in numerous countries in Asia and Europe, as well as Australia and the US. He is from West Texas but has lived in Tokyo since 2006; he previously lived in New York City from 1999-2001 and Taipei, Taiwan from 2001-2006.

 

Stephan Meidell (NO) — Sound designer and composer based in Bergen, Norway. Has written several commissions, released 15 records and toured extensively through Europe, USA, Mexico and Japan. Meidell's focus is genre-independent, drifting between composition and improvisation, with a knack for progressive sound design. 

Petri Henriksson (FI) — Visual content / Design. Graphic designer and Film maker from Finland, based in Berlin. A founding member of Blank Blank Grafikk and Blank Blank Film. He has worked as designer mainly in the field of contemporary art and produced a wide range of film experiments in collaboration with Carlos Vasquez.

Carlos Vasquez (CO) — Film technics / Programming. Cinematographer, film maker self-taught engineer and programmer from Colombia, based in Berlin. Co-founder of Blank Blank Film.

Søren Andreasen (DK) — Technical facilitation / programming. Sound artist and programmer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. With a strong passion for creation and design in the audio realm, Andreasen is producing sound, programming and building art installations and writing software for various audio related needs.
