it’s hard to talk about things that are so abstract in your head. and maybe this video is a simple metaphor for the feeling of nausea i get from being alive and not always feeling at home in my body. feeling more alive in sound and grey clouds of ambient abstraction. spinning as literal dizziness and the spiraling that we do to survive and cope with existence. the tests one endures. life in all its ups and downs. its beauty, its magic… inevitable tragic.

This lo-fi sci-fi short film called MyMy is an experimental hybrid of documentary, fiction and performance art. The story features two transgender men, playing a very queer version of their own characters. Throughout the film they are haunted by a chimera, a post-human personification of the desires, fears and possibilities that form the potential future.

James Diamond (Montreal) PUBLIC P(ARTS): If all the world’s a stage, then there is no backstage. A man and his prosthesis have a bath.

Combining dance, mime and music, 'My Cake' is a response to the saying "You can't have your cake and eat it too." The Villain looks back at his childhood, the day he discovers that the image others have of him does not match the one he has of himself. This awareness causes a total transformation of personality. The film experiments with the themes of ambition, identity, society's pressure, gender stereotypes and the obsession to control one's self-image.
