Sofia Borges is a composer, performer, percussionist and educator. Her compositions cover a wide scope of formations ranging from solo, duos, trios, ensemble, choir, orchestra, electronics and interactive and have been performed in Europe and USA. She has become increasingly involved in collaborative work, composing for theater, dance, short films, video and installation. She was selected to take part in the TENSO young composers workshop 2015 in Mechelen (Belgian) and in 2016 in Marseille (France). As an educator she has been since 1998 involved with major educational programs such as „Tocá Rufar“ (Portugal) and „Klangradar – Kompositionslabor Schule“ (Germany) and conducting workshops in several countries. Sudarshan Chandra Kumar (Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia) has performed for the CHOPPA Fest (Singapore), Playfreely (Singapore), Switch On (Malaysia) and KLEX Festival (Malaysia). He participates in Serious Play Improv Lab (SPIL; 2014-2016) regularly, a monthly experimental series in Kuala Lumpur. Ignaz Schick is a Berlin based experimental turntablist, sound artist, performer, composer and visual artist. After meeting Don Cherry in his childhood he studied the saxophone and performed in free jazz and avant rock bands. At the same time he was getting obsessed with multitrack tape machines, record players and effect boxes and he started experimenting with many different instruments and sound making devices.

After college he briefly studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and worked for several years as an assistant for the contemporary composer Josef Anton Riedl. He has been living and working in Berlin since the mid nineties and has been involved in the city's various experimental scenes as an artist, performer, label owner and curator of events and festivals. Schick has toured worldwide solo or with groups like Perlonex, Phosphor, Berlin Sound Connective, Nighthawk Kitchen, Tree People, Splitter Orchestra, Ilog (...) to name a few and has collaborated with more than a hundred international sonic artists - amongst others with such iconoclasts as Mwata Bowden, Don Cherry, Sven-Ake Johansson, Paul Lovens, Toshi Nakamura, Charlemagne Palestine, Andrea Parkins, Keith Rowe, Matthias Spahlinger or Martin Tetreault. Since 2012 he focusses more on composition and experimental radio pieces.

In parallel he has started several new projects with a new generation of Berlin experimentalists (Ilog, Yemen Breakfast, Radio Nightmares, Hawking, Overdue, KUDU, …) and composes & works a lot for/with his large workshop ensemble Circuit Training (including Tom Arthurs, Benjamin Weidekamp, Ignaz Schick, Eliad Wagner, Marta Zapparoli, Achim Kaufmann, Klaus Kürvers, Emilio Gordoa, Alexandre Babel). http://www.zangimusic.wordpress.com
