- Sonae - I Started Wearing Black
Sonae presents her new album »I Started Wearing Black« that celebrates release April 13th on Berlin based label Monika Enterprise.
"What are the ghosts of this music? It rustles, crackles, ruffles, crunches, rattles, scrapes, sometimes a beat emerges from the constant noise, sometimes an obscure voice mumbles incomprehensibly, sometimes a melancholy piano figure is prevented by this noise from coming too much to the foreground. It definitely is eerie" Klaus Walter - Janneke van der Putten - JNNK
Janneke van der Putten will take us on a journey of vocal noise - an intense acoustic performance where she explores a range of vocal sonorities and on-site acoustics. - Sabrina Gricourt - The Sound of Flowers
An exploration of nature and technology and the contrast they create in today's society. Through their communion, visual and sonic waves have developed a unique and complex language creating a space for the audience to be fully immersed in a sense of time, place and memory that is the middle ground between technology and nature.
The Sound Of Flowers is a collaboration between Gricourt and filmmaker Luke Tysoe.

Janneke van der Putten (Amsterdam, 1985) is a visual artist and vocalist based in Rotterdam. Her practice involves experiences of listening, performances, sound and video, documentations in image/text/textile, workshops, music projects, and creating platforms for cultural exchange. Her voice is her main tool, guiding her through physical and sonic explorations in different landscapes. Engaging with specific sites and local contexts, and through her personal experiences, she investigates (human) responses to her surroundings, and their relation to natural phenomena and transitions, such as the sunrise.
Van der Putten graduated with a BDes from TXT (Textile), Gerrit Rietveld Academy (Amsterdam, 2003 – 2009) and completed her MMus in Artistic Research, Royal Academy of Art & Royal Conservatoire (The Hague, 2011 – 2013). She trained in classical North-Indian Dhrupad singing with Amelia Cuni and Marianne Svašek (Berlin & Rotterdam, 2009 – 2014) and is autodidact in various extended vocal techniques. The project ‘Invisible Architecture’ with Christian Galarreta, for which they published a vinyl in 2014, has been presented at amongst others Make the Audition: Meetings Between Art and Sound in Peru, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Lima, 2016) and nxnwfestival (Cologne, 2015). Solo shows include All Begins With A, TENT (Rotterdam, 2015), Directed to the Sun, Atelierhaus Quartier am Hafen (Cologne, 2017), and Quitsa, CINNNAMON (Rotterdam, 2017). In 2016 she founded Idraola and initiated the Aloardi Exchange Programme, including the Aloardi Festival ‘Peruvian New Music & Arts’, WORM (Rotterdam, 2016 – 2017). Van der Putten was artist-in-residence at amongst others the Centre international d’art et du paysage (Île de Vassivière, 2014), and is awarded a fellowship at Akademie Schloss Solitude (Stuttgart, 2019). http://jannekevanderputten.nl/work/jnnk/
Sabrina Gricourt Gricourt is a born French electronic musician, she studied for two years at the Conservatory of Electroacoustic Music in France, she is a sound therapist living and working in Berlin. She is the founder of Sonic Body, a holistic music therapy project based in Berlin. She is interested in the process of combining modern technologies with ancient traditions, as well as thematics like the role of media, the customs and habits of different civilizations, the balance of human power, our relationship to economy and politics, and our relationship to and with each other. Her sonic driving pushes out her productions, creating a time and space for her audience to be immersed in sounds, going directly into consciousness: a mix of both brainwaves and sound frequencies, thereby making it possible for them to reflect and experience both altered and healing states — a simple, devoted reconnection to ourselves, the present, and all mysticism that surrounds us.
Gricourt's musical production is made of analog synthesizers, gong and field recordings, which offer complex, long and hypnotic patterns, revealing familiar, yet forgotten soundscapes and noises that explores human cognition and perception. Manipulating the patterns of time with the view to lose control and leave room to fully allow space to envelop our senses for a full reconnection to the present and our origins. https://soundcloud.com/sabrinagricourt
