SPEKTRUM Community showcase
SPEKTRUM's community program is focused on bringing together people from various backgrounds in an atmosphere of creative and collaborative exchange and experimentation and to open up knowledge around art, science and technology to a wider audience.
Since July 2015, different communities around topics such as olfactory art, live cinema, sonic coding, motion technology and digital fabrication have been set up at SPEKTRUM, meeting up regularly to share ideas, exchange knowledge and create new projects together. In addition, our community program has also hosted existing groups, such as the Berlin Science Hacking community and STATE Experience Science festival.
During the transmediale/CTM Vorspiel 2016 festival, SPEKTRUM communities will be showcasing their work at the following events:
- Tuesday 19 January - Sonic Code Session: showcase and open conversation
- Wednesday 20 January - Smell Lab showcase: Collected Smells
- Tuesday 26 January - Live Cinema Lab showcase
In addition, several other groups that also regularly organise events at SPEKTRUM will host a showcase night, including:
- Monday 25 January - CryptoParty + Exhibition Intangible Threat
- Wednesday 27 January - CiTiZEN KiNO #50: The Art Festival Corpse
- Friday 29 January - Light movement 11: showcase
We will conclude with a ReConnect communities table & party on Saturday 30 January, where all SPEKTRUM communities come together to share what they have been working on and exchange ideas for cross-collaboration. Everybody interested in what is going on in our communities is welcome.
