Yan Chun is a sound artist and poet and was born in Lanzhou in 1973. He is based in Beijing and currently lives in berlin for an artist residency (DaaD). He is working on improvised and experimental sound art, field recording, organizing and writing. Alongside of at venues, he goes to audience’s home to play with the environment and what else available in the room (Living Room Tour project) and does noise hypnotizing at any place for small amount of audiences. He is also amplifying body movements or other performative elements in a simple manner. He is a member of FEN, Tea Rockers Quintet and Impro Committee and founder of the guerrilla label Sub Jam.

Audrey Chen is a Chinese-American artist using cello, voice and occasional analog electronics. Chen’s work delves deeply into her own version of narrative and non-linear storytelling. A large component of her work is improvised and her approach to this is extremely personal and visceral. Her playing explores the combination and layering of the homemade analog synthesizer, preparations and traditional and extended techniques in both the voice and cello. She works to join these elements into a singular ecstatic personal language. Over the past decade plus, her predominant focus has been her solo work with the cello, voice and electronics, but she has more recently begun to shift back towards the exploration of the voice as a primary instrument.

Doron Sadja is an American artist, composer, and curator whose work explores modes of perception and the experience of sound, light, and space. Often working with multichannel spatialized sound, smoke machines, and high intensity lights, Sadja combines pristine electronics with lush romantic synthesizers, dense noise, and immersive light projections to create hyper-emotive sonic architecture. Sadja founded Shinkoyo Records and the West Nile performance space in Brooklyn (RIP), and currently runs the Sound Portraits lecture/listening series at Spektrum.
